Asian Heritage Guided Tour: Upcoming Events

Come join the 2007 Chinese New Year- Year of the Pig celebration with us! According to the Chinese lunar calendar, Chinese New Year’s day is on Sunday, February 18th. The Chinese Community Center Asian Heritage Tours program is offering a very unique Chinese New Year tour to the public on the Chinese New Year’s Eve- February 17th. This professional guided tour is from 10am to 3:00pm, Saturday, February 17th. The route begins at the Chinese Community Center New Year Ceremony, 9800 Town Park. Then a delicious dim-sum lunch and magnificent nine lions dance performance will be provided at the Chinatown Restaurant followed by a visit to the Buddhist Temple.  The tour ends at the Chinese Community Center with Asian cultural arts presentation- origami / floral/ or calligraphy demonstration. You will discover and enjoy the exciting sights, sounds, and tastes of southwest Houston’s diverse Asian community. The Chinese Community Center is a non- profit organization and a United Way agency, the event proceeds will benefit the programs offered at the Chinese Community Center.
