Program Information

The Adult Education Program continually makes new classes available to the community. To find out more about registration, you can call the Chinese Community Center.

Courses offered

English grammar and reading, conversation, pronunciations, citizenship preparation courses, and GED preparation courses.

Course Levels: GED 0, 1-4 and 5-6

Classes Times: Morning (9am-12 noon), Afternoon (12 noon-3pm), Evening (6pm-9pm)

Registration Location: Chinese Community Center, 9800 Town Park, Suite #200

Registration Procedure

  1. Take the BEST B placement oral test if it is your first time taking English classes at CCC.
  2. Take the BEST B placement written test if you scored 5 or above on the reading and writing part of the oral test.
  3. Fill out CCC registration form.
  4. Study the semester class schedule.
  5. Decide what classes to take.

The average registration time per student is around 1.5 to 2 hours. 

What to bring for English class registration

Personal ID such as your social security card, driver’s license, or passport.

The Job Training school year begins September 1 and ends on August 31 the next year. There are 4 sessions:

  • Fall (September to November),
  • Winter (December to February),
  • Spring (March to May), and
  • Summer (June to August).

What to bring for Job Training registration

For Fee Payment students

Personal ID such as social security card, driver’s license, or passport.

For Free Classes

U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents only

  1. A copy of your high school diploma or GED
  2. Texas driver's license
  3. Copies of all paycheck statements (including spouse's) for the last 6.5 months
  4. Social Security card
  5. A copy of your U.S. birth certificate, U.S. passport, Permanent Resident card, or paperwork confirming residency status.
