The
Child
Development
Center offers a welcoming learning environment for children and families. Our program became
a NAEYC Accredited program on November 5, 2010. NAEYC is the National Association for the
Education of Young and they are known as the "Mark of Quality” in early childhood programs. Our center is also a
United Way Bright Beginnings program.
This program supports our mission of supporting family needs by consulting with
the center on an ongoing basis, providing staff training, incentives to
teachers continuing their education and equipment.
With the achievement of Accreditation our program is
required to meet all 10 standards, which incorporate having an educated, bi-lingual teaching staff that
continues their professional development by attaining a CDA, Associates,
Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in education. Also by meeting these standards
means we have low teacher/child ratios,
small group sizes, research based curriculum, and a developmentally appropriate environment.
Tours of
the program are offered to interested parents on an appointment basis and
registration is done-on-site at the
Chinese
Community Center.
