Chinese Community Center Summer Camp

Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This
summer at the Chinese
Community Center,
students will be embarking on an adventure into our summer camp. We will be
strolling through 11 weeks of fun-filled curriculum. Each weekly theme will
invite students to conceptually explore a different theme park, which ties into
a different area of exploration, such as history, space, music, technology,
etc. All of the materials taught will correspond to our adventure theme. An
exciting summer presentation will be held at the end of July and an
end-of-summer field day is scheduled on August 19th.
Students
will be able to experience different people, places, and events through classes
coupled with exciting field trips.
FEATURED
THIS SUMMER:
- Financial Literacy – Students will
organize their own society and learn important financial literacy and
civic duty by earning Funny Money.
- Splash Fridays – Every other Friday, we
will enjoy splash day with our water slide, above-ground pool, and slip
and slides
- Tournament Fridays – Students will learn
and compete in different activities each Friday.
- Block Scheduling – Block scheduling will
allow for thorough understanding of different subject areas and completion
of hands-on activities.
- Pre- and Post- Camp Clubs – Students will
be offered a variety of different clubs to participate in during before-
and after- camp hours. The clubs will reflect the students’ interested and
will round out the student as a whole. Some of our clubs include Quilting
and Ping Pong Clubs. Students will have the option to join a club to learn
or improve their ping pong or quilting skills.
