Job Title: Administrative Specialist
The Chinese Community Center, Inc. is seeking an
enthusiastic and self-motivated team member to manage the administrative
activities of a nationally recognized, Texas based, non-profit organization.
The selected candidate will be a key member of the administration team. The
Administrative Specialist will work closely with the Executive Director, and
Development team in the areas of organization planning, communications, office
management and Executive Director assistance.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate administrative support for the
Executive Director and the Development Department
- Assist with the organization's operational policies and procedures
- Coordinate schedules and communications between the
Executive Director and staff, board members, and external organizations
- Perform all duties related to board relations, i.e. schedule
meetings, plan for meeting space, take minutes, compile reports, prepare
presentations, and provide materials and information
- Enhance and manage the organization’s social media presence
through quarterly e-newsletter, organization’s Facebook page, and website
- Support the Fund Development team with special event
activities and coordination
- General administrative support across all organization
departments
- Must be able to handle stressful situations and work
efficiently in a deadline driven environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- BA/BS required
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
- Must be detail oriented
- Computer literate with strong proficiency in the use of MS Office
products including MS Word, Excel and Publisher
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both
internal and external audiences
- Able to manage and coordinate multiple tasks, deadlines and
competing priorities in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently/as a self-starter, as well as
a team member
- Must enjoy working with culturally and ethnically diverse
staff, clients and volunteers
Hours/Salary: Full
Time position, Salary commensurate with experience
