Dear CCC
Family:
Congratulations! With your help the Sixth Annual Lunar New
Year Festival was a raving success.
City and
State officials, other distinguished guests and all of the
attendees, thoroughly enjoyed the performances; vignettes;
and cultural journey to the Far East. CCC as well as the
entire Asian community ushered in the Lunar New Year with
15,000 of our new friends. This was a record turnout that
left our audience wanting more.
It is in
not small measure that this Lunar New Year celebration was a
big success. Everyone pitched it! Therefore, I would like to
thank you all.
First, a
special thank you to our sponsors, who funded the event and
without whom, CCC would not have been able to host such a
spectacular festival.
Thank you
to the Board of Directors of CCC, who spearheaded the prize
drive for the raffle, hosted the VIPˇ¦s and lent a hand with
numerous other tasks before and during the festival.
In
addition, 257 volunteers showed-up the day of the festival
to help with everything from putting up decorations to
helping parents find their lost children. A million thanks
to the volunteers! We could not have done it without you.
Finally,
to the staff, as difficult as it can be to manage day-to-day
demands of the job, you stepped-up big time. The expertise
and professionalism of CCC staff was evident throughout the
Center.
I truly
believe the key to the festivalˇ¦s success was the integrated
effort of the Board of Directors, the huge number of
volunteers and CCC staff. We left new and old friends alike,
with quite an impression. They are already looking forward
to next yearˇ¦s event.
From the
bottom of my heart, thank you all. Iˇ¦m looking forward to
seeing you at the volunteer appreciation party scheduled for
Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at CCC, in the
Multi-purpose room. Please mark your calendar and plan to
attend the party.
Sincerely,
Nine-Min |
